“It’s no secret… I’m afraid of the dark.”- Frank Moore

I can’t believe I am nearly half way through the fifth season, and I forgot to do my usual wrap up and top 5 of the previous season. But as the saying goes, somethings are worth waiting for and I hope this is one of them.

This was a great season and it opened with one of the most exciting episodes in AYAOTD history (IMO). This episode was so epic it was told by not one, but by two great storytellers, Frank Moore and The Gary. This also meant that for the first time ever we got both Dr. Vink and Sardo as a tag team. And for once they were the heroes.

We also got some cool villains as well, one of which makes his victims laugh to death (thanks Betty Ann)

And we had our last story by Frank Moore as his family moved from Toronto to Vancouver BC due to the economic opportunities out west.

There were also many guest stars in season 4:

Charles S. Dutton as Captain Jonas Cutter (Cutter’s Treasure),

Will Friedle as Jimmy Armstrong (Long ago locket)

Tyler Labine as Mark Peterson (Silent Servant)

Jewel Staite as Cody (Unfinished Painting)

Gregory Smith as Tim Williamson (Train Magic)

Overall season 4 was a great season. Now here are my Top 5 episode choices of season 4

Moira’s Top 5

  1. The Tale of Cutter’s Treasure
    1. Storytellers: Gary and Frank Moore
      1. Reasons: It was an epic adventure that teamed up Sardo and Dr. Vink plus pirates!
  2. The Tale of the Silent Servant
    1. Storyteller: Betty Ann
      1. Reasons: It was a very dark story and it served a purpose to teach Frank and Kiki a lesson. Plus I liked the interaction between the Midnight Society.
  3. The Tale of the quiet Libarian
    1. Storyteller: Kiki
      1. Reason: It takes a normal place like a library and makes it creepy as hell. I am now afraid to go into the library at night (thanks Kiki).
  4. The tale of the Ghastly Grinner
    1. Storyteller: Betty Ann
      1. Reason: It was a fun story that was done in the style of a comic book. I felt it was very creative and the villain was really cool.
  5. The tale of Train Magic
    1. Storyteller: Frank
      1. Reason: This was Frank’s last story and it is a good story. In fact it is possibly my favorite story he has told solo. I also really love trains.

So what do you feel is the best episode of season 4? How do you like season 5 so far?

Only time will tell.

As always, Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society I call this story: The tale of Moira’s Afraid of the Dark? (But not really) Season 4 wrap up and top 5

I  would like to interview *cough*Ross Hull or Raine Pare-Coull or Jodie Resther, *cough* I feel that if enough people tweet at them or Facebook them, and let them know about this blog, it can happen! Let’s make my dream come true!
